I loved Peri-Peri last time I tried it in Texas, so it felt worth it giving it a shot in FTL when we were walking past it. The place was empty when we walked in, Thursday night around 7p. We ordered and by the time we washed our hands and picked a table, our orders were already out. The Spatch Chicken sandwich with fried chicken breast, 10/10 AMAZING. I will come back here for that. Flavors were delicious and the sauces were OUT OF THIS WORLD. The southwestern bowl, not so much. I know the chicken wasn't breast, it was thigh. But it was super fatty. Every other bite, we were separating the fat from the chicken. I wish that at the counter, the girl had offered us a price for the upgrade to chicken breast or atleast shown us that line on the menu. We didn't know about it till afterwards. You can pay a couple of bucks and upgrade the meat to chicken breast. I'd give the bowl a 4/10. I'll definitely be back for the sandwich! The soda machine also didn't work :( But the restaurant was clean and the workers were all very pleasant. I'll 100% be back for the chicken sandwich.
This has definitely become one of our favorite places to eat at and to order takeout from. A couple of years ago we were looking for a similar restaurant to Nandos in the UK that served peri-peri chicken and we found this gem and we've loved it ever since. Customer service is great, servers are always very friendly and happy to help. Our usual order is the chicken with lemon & herb sauce, the peri loaded fries which are absolutely delicious! We also love the peri Mac and cheese, keep it mind that it has a little spice to it so if you're not into spicy food just order the regular Mac and cheese. The sweet potato mash is also a great side and we love the Peri crunch sandwich. We also tried the corn and it was ok it wasn't our favorite but the other sides make up for it! The restaurant is also beautiful so If you're in the mood for some delicious peri peri chicken this is the perfect place for you
Amazing and unique peri-peri chicken, South African style! This is a casual dining spot where you order at the counter and they bring your food to your chosen table. Definitely worth trying for the spicy flavor combination of this chicken. Will be back next time we are in town!
Not your typical chicken sandwich joint! I've always heard of their amazing house-made peri peri sauces and was so excited to try it out. They have a great selection of sandwiches but also platters with just chicken and bowls with rice plus a bundle of delicious sides. Their staff was very safe and everyone wore masks. They had tables outside and when I went there was only one couple sitting inside. I chose to takeout and they packed everything very well. I started with the street corn on the cob as an appetizer. It was rich with flavor and the corn nibblets were still juicy. Me and my fiancé each ordered a chicken sandwich. My Peri Crunch was super crunchy and the chicken was tender. I had the mild sauce and it was just enough spice for me to tolerate. Veggies were fresh. My fiancé's Bacon and Blue Crunch was very heavy on the blue cheese but if you like that, it's great! It was crunchy but not oily. He had the medium spice sauce and he loved it. Definitely going back to try more items!
I've wanted to check this place for a while and finally had the chance. Got the half chicken with sticky mango sauce.. and side of the kale. It tasted really good. Very happy with the meal.
